From Cradle to Consciousness: Unlocking the Child’s Inner World

  • The subconscious does most of the driving. In Hanson’s model, the subconscious mind forms from the third trimester through roughly age eight and runs the vast majority of our daily function. It reframes childhood as the window when the deepest patterns are laid down.
  • A brain map is a starting point, not a label. Hanson describes the 19-channel QEEG as a way to compare brainwave patterns against age-matched norms, then uses neurofeedback to train the subconscious directly. She is careful to talk about what is “typical,” not “normal.”
  • Change is a whole-system effort. Her approach spans the mechanical (movement and reflex work), the chemical (gut, food sensitivities, methylation), and the brain (neuro- and biofeedback). In her experience, the families who see the most change are the ones who work all three, consistently.

Too Curious MDs

We are two and too curious physicians applying the lens of Narrative Medicine, exploring Integrative practices and psychedelic treatment in healthcare. Together with our guests we weave new learnings from stories, expertise, and the sciences. With the wisdom from holistic, alternative, and conventional medicine, we’are here to challenge the status quo!!!!We are curious about the connectivity and complexity between diverse fields of knowledge as they relate to consciousness, chronic illness, mental health, resilience, and beyond! Stories of illness in the context of caring for patients in psychedelic medicine, what emerges and what we can learn as health care changes.
